Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical/Optometry Office Manager to oversee the daily operations of our facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in healthcare management, with a focus on providing exceptional patient care and ensuring efficient office procedures. Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily operations of the optometry clinic, ensuring a smooth workflow and high-quality patient care.
  • Oversee scheduling of patient appointments and ensure timely follow-ups for referrals.
  • Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR).
  • Develop and manage budgets, monitoring expenses to optimize operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate with healthcare providers to facilitate patient referrals and communication.
  • Address patient inquiries and resolve any issues related to billing or service delivery.
  • Assist optician with retail sales of eyewear, while providing excellent customer service.

Skills

  • Proven experience in a medical/optometry office setting is essential.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology and electronic medical records systems.
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical records systems; experience with eVision is a plus.
  • Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively.
  • Proficient in budgeting and financial management within a healthcare context.
  • Familiarity with acute care procedures and protocols is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure compliance with healthcare standards.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, staff, and external partners.
