Full time position available in our dispensary. We currently employ 1 fulltime optician and 1 full time optometric assistant.
Office hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 8:30-5:00. Wednesday 8:30-7:00. The office is closed on weekends.

Duties:
- Assist customers in selecting and fitting eyeglasses and contact lenses
- Take accurate measurements of customers' eyes and facial features
- Provide recommendations on lens options, frames, and lens coatings based on customers' needs and preferences
- Adjust and repair eyewear as needed
- Educate customers on proper eyewear care and maintenance
- Process orders and manage inventory of eyewear products
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in retail sales or retail management is preferred
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with customers
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to accurately measure and fit eyewear
- Knowledge of different types of lenses, frames, and lens coatings
- Familiarity with vision insurance plans and billing procedures is a plus
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment

Optometric assistant or student optician needed on a full time basis to join our team. Duties include frame selection, edging and repairing eyeglasses, pre-testing, reception duties.
Successful candidates must have post secondary qualifications and be friendly, have excellent interpersonal skills and excellent written and spoken English. References will be required.

- making recalls and cold calls to book appointments
- pretesting patients and other auxiliary tests
- explain procedures and costs to patients
- collecting payments
- check-in and check-out patients in the clinic
- facilitate patient referrals to other healthcare professionals
- month end reconciliation of invoices and statements
Qualifications: - high school or college graduate
- excellent verbal and communication skills
- strong interpersonal skills, friendly and caring, outgoing personality
- customer service experience is essential
- confidence in cold calling
- must be proficient with computers and excel spread sheets

- Meticulously measure frames for orders, ensuring precise fits and accurate order entry into EMR software

- Self motivated to find tasks that need to be completed to ensure the office continues to run smoothly

- Optical experience is preferred but not required; we are more focused on finding the right fit for our team
